Today we focused our numeracy lesson on tallies and bar graphs after an introduction to them yesterday.
We set our target on finding out the most favourable way to fundraise within school. We started off with a class discussion on ways to fundraise and then narrowed the list down to 8 choices. The children were organised into groups and they went round the classes to collect the data. They recorded the data on their tally chart and then came back to class and presented their findings on a bar graph.
The findings generated lots of discussions and now the children cannot wait to see what fundraiser we will organise next in school.
