Today we were learning all about trees. We started off with hugging some trees and learnt that this can be an instant mood booster. We learnt all about the different parts of a tree and why trees are good for us. We used identificaton cards to find out what some of the trees around our school are and then we did some bark rubbings. We loved doing this. After we had to split into two groups and use natural materials to create a picture of a tree. We had a boys group and a girls group. The finished products were amazing! To finish off we did a happy dance to show how happy we are.
Primary 1 are loving forest schools. It was a cold, windy day today but we made the most of it!
