East Coast Adventure Centre - Final Day

2nd May 2025

Today was the day we packed our bags and said our farewell to East Coast Adventure Centre that has been our home over the last few days.

The morning was a slower paced morning than yesterday as most were a little later at wakening up and getting ready to go down for their breakfast. This morning we were treated to toast/pancakes/cereal as normal but with that little extra where Patsy had boiled us all eggs. Some of us had boiled eggs in a cup!!🥚

After breakfast we were all instructed to go back to our rooms and make sure we had everything packed and tidied up before we had our morning activity.

The P6s stayed at the centre for their ‘Sport for All’ games which meant it was the P7s turn to head to Newry Canal for some canoeing. We arrived and got the canoes set up and went out on the canal in groups. The glorious sunshine made it extra special and we had lots of fun along the way.

Back to the centre it was for our lunch which was chicken burgers with salad and pasta. This was our final meal before we were transported down to met our bus to head back to Clough.

We said our goodbyes to our instructors who were with us throughout our few days away and thanked them so much for giving us the opportunity to experience all the activities we did and also looking after us so well. We will definitely be spreading the word about East Coast Adventure Centre.

I hope the children thoroughly enjoyed their final primary school residential and made many memories along the way. 😊
