What an amazing first day at East Coast Adventure Centre.
We arrived just before lunch and were met by the very welcoming staff from the centre who made us all feel so at ease. We were introduced to them and then were shown to our rooms to go and leave our bags etc in.
Next up, it was lunch time. We all sat outside under the canopy to eat our lunch and enjoy the marvellous weather. The kids had some free time to look around and familiarise themselves with the centre.
After this, it was time for some rock climbing and archery. We have some very daring and determined children who made it all the way to the top, not just once but a number of times. Everyone had a go and gave it their best effort. When it came to the archery we had some very talented archers who scored very high when it came to the competition. I think it was Team 2 who won most!!👏👏
Dinner time then arrived just after 5pm. The children had spaghetti bolognese, served with some garlic bread and then a delicious cookie for dessert.
Finally, it was our evening activity which was the night line. Here the children were blindfolded and had to listen to instructions to be guided around the course that was set up. This was so funny to watch and it definitely showed we have some children who were very good leaders and that everyone looked out for each other along the way.
Supper time then came and the staff were on hand to serve the children toast/pancakes/tea and water. Everyone was well fed today and didn’t take much to get them to go to their rooms to get sorted for bed. As I write this everyone is safely tucked up and everyone is sleeping.
We are all looking forward to tomorrow where we get to experience some water sports and other activities.
