Ballymena Festival was a big success this year. All our pupils performed exceptionally well. Over all our school have been presented with 'Best Overall Instrumental Primary School'.

Flahavan's Cross Country Final

On Wednesday 22nd January the final of the Cross Country league took place at Mallusk Playing Fields.

The top boys and girls from each of the rounds met to run the mile race around the muddy pitches.

Our Primary 6 pupil Ross competed in a very fast paced boys race which compromised of 208 runners.

Ross finished the race in the top quarter and we are extremely proud of how he represented the school in each round and especially making it to the final.

Flahavan’s Cross Country League 2019 - Round 2

Round 2 of the cross country league took place at at the Ulster University of Coleraine.  

The distance in each race was extended this time to approx. 1600m and both the boys and girls did extremely well considering the wet and muddy conditions.

Booking himself a place in the Northern Ireland Final was Ross who will now represent the school later on in January.


  Flahavan's Cross Country League 2019 - Round 1

This year we entered a boys and girls team into the 'Flahavan's Cross Country League' after the success of last years boys and girls.  This the second year entering the competition and what a start both teams had this year.

The league compromises of two rounds which both take place at The Ulster University of Coleraine.

Round two coming up on Wed 4th Dec!!!

A special mention to Ross who finished 3rd overall out of 100 boys!!!

Ballymena Academy Music Workshop

On Monday 25th November students and teachers from Ballymena Academy visited Clough to deliver an orchestral workshop with our talented musicians.  

The children had a big practice session in the morning followed by a concert for the whole school.
