What have P1 being doing in January?

19th Jan 2022

Primary 1 are learning all about winter and cold countries.

  1. We are making bird tables for the hungry little birds.
  2. Reading stories to find out information and our topic box has lots of books which we love to look at.
  3. Making ice and doing some experiments. The polar bears and penguins love the cold. We especially loved making and eating ice pops😊
  4. Pretending we are in the North Pole and making igloos and camp fires to keep warm. We can fish and have caught some fish for dinner!
  5. Making prints using white paint and square print pads. We even made patterns with the pads.
  6. Using fancy scissors to make icicles.
  7. Creating with white play dough and plasticine to make snowflakes and snowballs.
  8. Using tap a shape to create winter pictures. It’s fun using the hammers and nails. We are very careful!
  9. Looking after our roads which are slippery. The gritters are very busy. Mrs Alexander lets us use shaving foam. It smells lovely.
  10. Learning how to feed the little birds. We have lots of feeders up. We are going to watch who comes to visit us.
